All The Pretty Colors

Multicolr is yet another cool application of Idée's color sensing technology. Choose random color combinations and the Mutlicolr Search Lab will comb through Flickr's vast collection of photography returning a set of images composed of similar colors. It is a fun tool to just play around with, and very useful for anyone who spends hours doing online images searching. Idée, a Toronto-based company, has a number of other fairly amazing visual search tools, including Piximilar (a more sophisticated commercial application of their technology), and their new iPhone app, TinEye Music. With TinEye Music, a user takes a photo of an album cover with their phone and the software finds the album on the iTunes store(as well as allmusic.com, YouTube, and Wikipedia) so that you can listen to samples of the songs before you potentially waste your money, on say, the Black Kids album.
