Space Junk Spotting

After close to 50 years of space exploration, our orbit has gotten pretty messy. Some 38 million objects are currently floating around the Earth.

Slovenian visual artist Saso Sedlacek
has taken data from a U.S. government owned space observatory that tracks, among other things, space debris. Then plugged that into Google Earth (download .kmz file here).
