Amazon Takes Matters Into It Own Hands

By 'matters', I mean packaging. Amazon has begun to offer what it calls Frustration-Free Packaging on a handful of its best-selling products. What does that mean? No wire ties, no plastic blister clamshells, no colorfully printed boxes with plastic viewing windows. All you get is the product you ordered in a secure corrugated cardboard box. This both cuts down on wasteful, excessive packaging and you don't have to worry about your children or pets getting the small parts lodged in their throats. Amazon plans on expanding the program in 2009 as part of its larger Amazon Green initiative.
