Comparing Films by Color

Artist, designer, Alan Woo has created a series of posters that depict the overall color scheme of a film in the form of a elegant pie chart. The art project entitled Pie, is the result of the artist writing a piece of software in Processing that takes the color contained in every frame of a feature film. It then arranges the data into the visual chart from light to dark. Above we see the similar tones present throughout the Back To The Future trilogy. And here I thought that 80's movies were all garish day-glow colors.
